Brass: Try to keep it from chlorinated water and saltwater (for example, swimming or hot tubs), soaps and detergents (for example, showering or washing your hair), sweat and exercise, lotions, perfumes and oils to keep it in pristine condition. To remove any tarnish, use a polishing cloth for regular touch-ups.

Be gentle as you would with anything you treasure. Don't bend, throw, or have sharp objects near your pieces, and don't handle them roughly, to keep from damaging them.
