Fact: Pt 1 and Pt 2 gives you Pt 3 (Physical Grass)!
Welcome back to week 3 of the “Grass Seeding Series” here on Liv Evon Designs, where I cover my husband and I's journey to renovating our lawn with newly seeded grass!

Brief recap: In part 1, we covered how we removed ivy vines that completely covered our backyard. If you don't have ivy, the principle of clearing out your soil is still IMPORTANT and the general method still holds. In part 2, we planted seed!

Let's just say it - THE WAIT IS OVER!!!!
After all our hard work full of body-aches, pulled muscles, and broken backs (not really but you get it, we are here to see the fruits of our labor - BABY GRASS! 😍 So, because grass grows in stages, below I've shared our grass growth week by week from the day it was planted. Week 1 showed no germination, but BABY, by week 2 we were in business in the Liv Evon Designs household!

Now I know it's a time for celebration🎉✨ & hoorah-hoorah's🙌🏽, BUT we cannot forget to do one special thing - continue watering our new precious gooold! We don't have to do it every day as we did when the seed was still seed, but watering once every other day so the grass gets roughly 1 inch of water a day (that's what the package says, I don't know what that means, honestly, so I just go with every other day for around 10 mins using just a basic rotating sprinkler).
Other than that, that's really it ya'll! It's been a relatively long journey, but we're here and I GUARANTEE you'll be super proud of the fact that you DIY'd your new grass seeded yard and be able to brag to your friends about it until the end of TIME! Or at least until you move or retire to Florida 🤷🏽♀️.

My electrician mother explained to me that it is important to have a cord that’s strong enough for the job as to not short circuit (or overwork and burn out) the cord/rototiller.
